There is a quarrel in heaven. Both God and Lucifer agree that a new Flood is overdue. However, two archangels (Eva Mattes and Hans-Harald Janke) see one final hope. They set out to find three “good” people on earth as living proof that humanity deserves a last chance. This task puts even their famous patience to a hard test. Preoccupied with the daily struggle for survival, nobody in Downtown seems to have any compassion for this incognito wandering commission of angels. Finally, they experience the hospitality of three young women with Down’s syndrome (Juliana Götze, Zora Schemm, Nele Winkler). But the archangels hesitate and ask themselves: Does being good even count, if its cause is some sort of birth defect? Will these women continue to be good when it rains and times get worse? The archangels express their gratitude for the hospitality they experienced by granting the three young women the gift of a teahouse. However, it does not take long before the three “good” sisters become cold-hearted brothers in order to fend for themselves.
Gisela Höhne and the group of actors have created a play that is inspired by old and new legends, the Bible, Brecht and current reports about “Bacha Poshs” in Afghanistan, where girls are dressed up as boys to enhance their status.
